If you’ve been to a child’s birthday party recently, chances are that the girls weren’t wearing dresses and patent leather party shoes with lacy socks. Outdoor parties with bounce houses or swimming seem to be more in vogue these days. Even my sons who are grown had bowling, swimming, and skating parties. However, growing up in the 1950’s, my sister and I knew that birthday parties usually meant wearing your Sunday best. Kids now days may be dressed more casually, but they are probably having more fun than we did!

I made this card using DSP and stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Memories Suite. Actually, there is very little stamping on this card. This bundled set is so versatile, as there is a matching Framelit for each stamp, but those framelits will also cut out many of the images on the coordinating paper. As I explained yesterday, the new adhesive sheets make it simple to strengthen the DSP images with a cardstock backing.  Expect to see more projects here on my blog using this suite of products!
