Share What You Love Birthday Card

Today is my big sister’s birthday, and since she’s too far away for me to bake a cake, I’m sending her blog wishes along with her birthday card.

When we were growing up, birthdays always meant a homemade cake that our mom let us help plan. (Yep, that’s me gobbling down cake instead of smiling for the camera. Carol is across the table from me.) I did my best to carry on the homemade cake tradition with my two sons, but times change… I still remember my older son asking me when he was six if he could have one of those really cool cakes like his friend Kyle had. Sure, I replied sadly, and then went to Walmart to buy one of their bakery cakes.

I went for big and bold on the inside of the card. I cut out and attached a couple of flowers from the DSP and stamped the Greeting from the Big on Birthdays stamp set.

And here are a couple more pictures of my sister and me. Best part of these photos is how the little sister (me) is taller than the big sister now!
