virtual valentine goodies with zero calories!

Happy Valentines Day!  This holiday always inspires me to turn out little treats in volume (40 of them this year). One surprising benefit is that after filling all these treat bags, I’m not craving any candy.

I wrote about making these treat bags in a previous post, but wanted to share the finished product. Embellishing these bags was twice as fun as making them! If you use Stampin’ Up! products, I imagine you can identify all the bits that I used.

These little dinosaur treats are perfect for little boys who don’t want anything too girly. The No Bones About It stamp set is one of the most versatile stamps I own. It will be one I keep and use for years!

Aurora surprised me this year when I asked her what kind of treats she wanted to give her classmates. Of course Ben decided that he wanted to take them for his class party, too. Candy coated pretzels–a first for me. Let me just say that by the time I finished dipping a one pound bag of miniature pretzels, I was fairly proficient! A rough estimate would be 140 pretzels…whew! I didn’t get a picture of their toppers (this one is one I made for a friend). Ben wanted the little Panda bear on all his, but Aurora stamped Pandas for the boys in her class and a more feminine Happy Valentines embossed in gold on pink cardstock. She’s more proficient stamper at eight years than I was for the first year I started as an adult. I’m thinking she may be a next generation Stampin’ Up! demonstrator!

More than candy, I hope that you have someone special to spend time with today. Thanks for spending a few minutes of it with me!
