My sweet grandson turned four this week, and this is the card I made for him. He is all about Leggos, so I was thrilled that Stampin’ Up! included Leggo images in their Boys Will Be Boys stamp set. Rather than color the images, I stamped the blocks onto Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Garden Green cardstock. Then I cut apart the pieces and mixed the colors. I love the 3D effect of the blocks piled together. Ben has claimed one of our spare bedrooms that we now lovingly call Leggo Land, and most days there are Leggos strewn around just like the images on the card.

I cut out the number four with the Large Numbers Framelits and stamped the words from the Number of Years stamp set.

It’s a lucky fellow whose mom bakes delicious cakes from scratch and can mold chocolate paw prints for decoration. (Think Paw Patrol…)

In addition to his card, I made him a birthday banner using Birthday Memories DSP, Large Letters Framelits, and the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die. The pennants are six inches long and five inches across the top. I punched holes in the corners using the 1/8 Inch Circle Punch and threaded the pennants together with some retired thick Bakers Twine. Now that his birthday is past, I will move the banner into Leggo Land for him to enjoy.

Having grandkids nearby and loving to create with ink, stamps, and paper is a winning combination!

Thanks for stopping by. One of my resolutions for the new year is to make time to blog again, so visit again soon!
