Welcome to our 2017 Valentine’s blog hop! Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite days to give friends and relatives little treats. I’ve been having fun playing around with different types and sizes of treat holders, and I’ve settled on the four pictured here.

Do you find yourself hoarding DSP papers and then packing them away as you buy new packages?  I do, and one of my resolutions for this year is to actually use up the packs while they are still current! I will make a good dent in the Valentine Sending Love paper stack making treat holders for my grandkids’ teachers and fellow students, as well as family, friends, hairdresser, etc.

The large bag measures 3.5″ wide by 6.5″ high and is made from a sheet of Real Red DSP from the Brights DSP Paper Stack. I embellished it with a Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlits die cut and tied it shut with Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon. It is just the right size for giving some of my heart shaped sugar cookies or shortbread that I like to bake this time of year.

The small bag is made from a sheet of the Sending Love DSP and tied shut with the Real Red Sending Love Ribbon. I came across the directions for making the bags recently in Better Homes & Gardens Christmas Trims Kids Can Make, a craft book  that I bought in the 1980’s when my boys were small.

I CASEd the tiny cup holder and triangle box. The stamp set I used is Sealed with Love bundle. I love the variety of fonts and the cute sayings, and the thinlits that coordinate with the stamps are awesome.

Now all I need to do is buy candy and start baking!  Thanks for stopping by.  To see what Mary has to share with us, click on the Next button below:
