I went into crafting overload this weekend, completing 25 mini milk cartons, a calendar for my son’s desk at work, and a card to send to my father-in-law. Whew! (I did manage to work in several loads of laundry as well as meal preparation and cleanup.)

It may seem a little odd to be making calendars in March, but my son decided he wanted a small calendar for his desk at work. Of course, I was MORE than happy to have an excuse to play with my great Stampin’ Up supplies, and I have several little calendarsthat I found online at Taylored Expressions, thanks to a recent Facebook post I read.

The design is one that Angie Juda had on her blog several years ago with instructions and a video. The base is two 4″ square coasters covered on the front and back with DSP. Matt chose the papers to complement his office decor: a sheet of Natural Composition DSP and green Watercolor Wonder DSP as a mat for the calendar. The green dotted paper from Color Me Autumn DSP picks up the green in the mat and lends a whimsical touch to an otherwise masculine color palate.

My fellas smile and shake their heads over my papercraft addiction, so I love it when I have a chance to create something just for them.

Have an awesome day and find something green to wear tomorrow so you won’t get pinched!
