It’s fun to learn new techniques. I have seen other stampers use their Stampin’Up markers to ink their stamps, but I never have taken the time to try it before now. The really great thing about having the Stampin’ Up! markers is that the ink exactly matches the ink pad and cardstock colors. I also learned an important trick to the process from one of the Stampin Pretty Pals. After you ink up the image, be sure to “huff” on the stamp to moisten the ink before you actually stamp. (If my former students read this post, I would get a lot of harassment over the fact that I was huffing my markers. It would be ISS (In School Suspension) for me for sure!)

I am so excited about how the little cake turned out, even though I doubt that my friend would really like a blue birthday cake… If you haven’t ever tried inking your stamps with markers, give it a try. I plan to play with this technique a lot more myself. Let me know if you like to use markers on your stamps and if you have any other tips to share.

Thanks for stopping by.
