UPDATE: The Stampin’ Up! 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch has NOT retired–YEAH!

I’ve been having fun playing with my new Stampin’ Up! products from the 2015-16 catalog. The catalog goes live June 1, but it’s not too early to start your wish list! Mine grows daily–wink!

The design for this card is this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge. Challenge was the word of the day, as I was determined to use my new Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper. It is a 6″x6″ paper pack filled with cute but busy patterns. I finally adjusted the sketch a little to make my card less cluttered. One of the great benefits of doing sketch challenges is that they frequently require me to try things that I wouldn’t think of on my own.

Once I settled on the papers and their placement, I coated the balloons with Crystal Effects and added Dazzling Details to the donuts for a little sparkle on their sprinkles. I love that the sentiment from the new Build a Birthday stamp set looks like it is handwritten. I embossed the cake image (Amazing Birthday set) and added dots around the circle with my white gel pen. Sadly, the scalloped circle punch is a retired product, but I still enjoy using it!

Thanks for stopping by today. Check back as I will be posting more sneak peeks of the amazing new products from the new Stampin’ Up! catalog.
