barn door with horse

I had so much fun making the first barn door for Mister Ed that I had to make another one! Actually, I readied the parts for another one to use in the video posted below. Rather than try to give detailed written directions for the card, I chose to demonstrate it.

Of course, there is no idea that can’t be made better, so I “stepped it up” a little on this second card. I remembered the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder and decided that the wall of the barn should look like wood, too. The sign is Crumb Cake instead of red this time and embossed in black. (Message on card is from the Waterfront stamp set.) I also used Real Red cardstock rather than Cherry Cobbler and added a tiny rhinestone to the wreath’s bow. Maybe the cowboys (or Wilbur) will forgive a little bling in the barn.

If you haven’t already purchased the Barn Door Bundle, consider adding it to your next purchase. It’s actually a versatile set. The framelits for the slider card are worth the purchase even without all the other awesome bits in the set, but that’s a card for another day!)

Enjoy the video and let me know which card you like better.
